How did you decide to come to Franciscan to study?

I attended a few high school summer conferences, and my mother told me I had to attend for at least 1 year. If I still didn't like it, I could transfer, but I had to give it a year. I was hooked after my first month.

What did you study, and what were you involved in on campus as a student?

I majored in history, and because I had room in my schedule, I later added French as a double major. I was involved in Human Life Concerns, SAB, music ministry and LOJ household. I also was in a band that played on campus a few times per year.

What are you doing now (professionally)?

I am a local elected official (Treasurer of Hamburg Township) and a practicing attorney. I'm also currently running for State Representative.

How have you been involved in the University as an Alumni?

Back in '97-'00 I was the University's Alumni Director, so I have strong filial devotion to my alma mater. I served on the Alumni Board back in 2006-2007, and again now. Our daughter graduated from FUS in 2018 and we have another daughter ready to come to campus as a Freshman this Fall. Go Barons!
