Alumni recognized during 32nd Annual Alumni Awards Banquet and Ceremony
Franciscan University of Steubenville honored six alumni at the annual Alumni Awards Banquet held October 1 during the 2021 Homecoming Weekend. Father Dave Pivonka, TOR, president of Franciscan University, congratulated the honorees and said they each “give witness to the Lord’s goodness, give witness to his faithfulness, and give witness to a world where hope is possible.”

In celebration of Franciscan’s 75th Anniversary Jubilee, Franciscan University alumni, led by Father Dave Pivonka, TOR, ’89, are making a unique and historic gift. Father Dave has commissioned artist Blair (Gordy '15) Piras to create an original mosaic of the Blessed Mother.

In October, as we celebrate the Most Holy Rosary, we are highlighting Blair (Gordy '15) Piras, the artist behind the Jubilee Mosaic honoring our Blessed Mother. Learn about her inspiration behind the mosaic painting that will be displayed on the exterior wall of the JC Williams Center, overlooking Rosary Circle.

Columbus Evening Prayer & Social
Hosted by Deacon Paul Marich, O.P. '08. Join local alumni and friends at St. Patrick Church for evening prayer and wine/beer social to follow. A campus update will be given by Chemistry Professor, Dr. Jeffrey Rohde, who currently serves as the Director of the Franciscan Institute for World Health and the co-Director of the Franciscan Institute of Science and Health.
