Joseph Wallace Named Director of Community Relations at Franciscan University of Steubenville
Franciscan University of Steubenville announced Joseph Wallace as its new director of Community Relations. Wallace has served as head men’s basketball coach for Franciscan University’s NCAA D-III team since 2016 and will continue in that role as well. As the director of Community Relations, Wallace will work to further and maintain a meaningful relationship between the University and the Ohio Valley community through engagement with community leaders and entrepreneurs.

This month, we are highlighting alumnus Alumni Ian Gill! Ian is a graduate of the class of 2016. After completing his degree, Ian stayed on campus to be an RD. Hear from him about the formation of FATAL, the Franciscan University Ultimate Frisbee team which won the National Championship in 2015.

President's Golf Outing
|

The Franciscan department of athletics has announced the Fourth Annual President's Golf Outing will take place on Friday, September 30, 2022 at the Steubenville Country Club. The President's Golf Outing will benefit all 20 of the Franciscan varsity athletic teams and their needs throughout the academic year. It will also be a chance for Baron alumni to connect with the current coaching staff and student-athletes as well as local businesses. Register as a team for $600 or Individual for $150. Sponsorship opportunities also available. Registration 9:00am, Shotgun Start 10:00am, Dinner/Awards 3:00pm.

Career Day for Criminal Justice
|

Join us on Friday, October 14th at Franciscan University to share information about your workplace, career opportunities, and the education and skills required for success in the criminal justice field. $100 Registration Fee includes a 8-ft. table with 8-ft. exhibit space and refreshments. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Doors open at 2:00 pm.

Ryan recently developed and launched Arsenal, an accessory for DSLR and mirrorless cameras that uses AI and machine learning to automate many common photo-editing tasks in real time.
