Background:

Matt Swider, 70, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has 33 years of leadership experience in the distribution, sales and service of automated Office equipment. After graduating from Franciscan University in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Matt joined APECO Corporation in a sales capacity and moved to sales management and eventually branch management. In 1978, Matt formed AMCOM Office Systems by acquiring the Western Pennsylvania operations of APECO Corporation. As president of AMCOM Office Systems, Matt profitably grew the business until 1996 when it was acquired by Global Imaging Systems. Matt remained with Global Imaging Systems as president of AMCOM for 8 years, acquired and integrated two businesses and retired in 2003. During those 8 years, Global Imaging Systems completed an IPO in June, 1998 and profitably grew from $32 Million in revenue in 1996 to almost $1 Billion in fiscal year 2004. During his career, Matt has served on various Board of Directors including Business Technology Association of Western Pa., American Co-op Group, Young Presidents Organization, World Presidents Organization (Chairman), Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank (Chairman), The Club At Nevillewood and Pittsburgh Executives Association. He also served on advisory boards for Panasonic Office Automation, Credit Lenders Service Agency, Syntrex Corporation, Clover Mountain Foods, Franciscan University (Alumni Board, Chairman) and various startups and small businesses.
